So it has been all over the news now that Lucas will be re-releasing all 6 Star Wars movies in 3D starting with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (eps. 1) in 2012. 1 episode per year. I guess it was inevitable Lucas would jump on the 3D bandwagon since some of the sequences lend themselves to the 3D effect quite well (Pod race in eps 1, Trench run in eps 4, Speeder bike chase in eps 6).
I’ve been a Star Wars fan all my life but I’m actually not too excited about the prequel trilogy as they don’t really stand up to repeated viewings (Revenge of the Sith is decent though). But that’s another post for another day.
I AM however, looking forward to bringing my kids to see the original trilogy starting in 2015. Star Wars needs to be seen on the big screen. Period. My kids will be 9 and 6 by the time the original trilogy goes onto theaters. Just nice I think.
Magpul has gone back and refined their AFG (Angled Foregrip) and introduced it as the AFG2:
The AFG2 is a slim line design that is shorter in overall length and width compared to the AFG1. Smaller size allows for compatibility with a wider variety of rail systems, rail covers, and accessory mounts.
The original AFG sometimes got in the way of some tactical lights and accessories. I think of it as an AFG that has gone through a shot of Botox. A comparison of the AFG and AFG2 can be found on Soldier Systems. Smaller and sleeker might mean it’ll fit better on smaller-sized Asian hands (like mine). 
So I’ve been watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars season 1 for the last week or so. Have so far watched 7 episodes. Not very impressed to be honest.
Looks like Bandai has confirmed the future release of Mirai Robo Daltanias for the Soul of Chogokin line. I had the lion (Beralios) component as a kid and had fond memories of the shiny gold mane and the pellet ejecting mouth. Strange I never did buy the other components.
I’m liking the proportions. Can’t wait for more pix.
