I am so getting this. Certainly a ridiculous amount of weaponry but so cool!
I have no idea why it’s carrying a shopping basket with a rocket in it though. Anyway, it’s coming in March 2011, retails at 4,500 yen. More pics at the Hobby Search website.
It all began after I took a short web design course over a summer in 1998. I was also into abit of scale modeling then. So I did what came naturally; do up a website about scale modeling. And wow, more than 10 years already and I’m still doing both of them.
So take a trip with me down memory lane as I present here a short history of Rocket Punch. Continue reading »
Haven’t been airsofting so I haven’t been keeping up with airsoft news and lookee what we have here. WE-Tech has introduced a gas blowback version of the Heckler & Koch G36C. Well, they call it G39C for obvious licensing issues.
As per usual with WE-Tech, the gun strips and has magazine capacity like the real thing. Knowing WE-Tech, fps should be in the 350-400 range. They have also released a torture test video:
Problem is though, it’s not really about being able to fire full-auto for 18 straight magazines. Having owned 2 of their rifles (an Colt M4A1 and a FN SCAR-L), the main issue for me has always been:
shot-for-shot consistency and accuracy since each magazine has only 30 rounds like the real thing. I actually like the 30 round magazines, the problem is I can’t hit anything beyond 10 meters (sometimes less)
magazines that don’t hold gas well nor offer (again) shot-for-shot consistency. Sometimes it feels like not enough gas is being transferred from the magazine to the gun, especially when firing on semi-auto quickly
Now in the text accompanying the video they claim that the hopup is based on their Springfield Armory M14 rifle and Knight’s Armament Company PDW hopup, which they also claim to be ‘excellent’. Problem is these guns haven’t been released long enough for long-term feedback on their accuracy.
This will be a wait and see for me. Besides, I’m still hoping for a Heckler & Koch MP5 .
