Little Miss Rocket Punch is 2 years old today!

My M16A4 Commando is NOT dead…

After all…. :D

Nothing broke apparently. Only the wires connected to the motor got disconnected. Probably due to the vibrations. The tech clamped it to make sure it stays in place and we’re back in business!

In other news, I’ll have to start trying to fix the KSC USP P10 Compact Tactical. Yay… meh.

Bandai HGUC RGM-89De Jegan (ECOAS Type)

It’s been good for UC Gundam fans with the showing of the Gundam Unicorn OAV series. Lots and lots of updated and all new mobile suits to throw your money at!

The latest upcoming HGUC which is of vast interest to me is the RGM-89De Jegan (ECOAS Type). ECOAS is introduced in Gundam Unicorn as the black-ops hunter-killer unit for the Earth Federation. So obviously, they gotta have a black MS!

Love the NVG flip-down sight on the head. Best of all, you can probably bash this kit with the RGM-89 kit to make the standard RGM-89D without having to buy the (very) expensive B-Club conversion kit.

Coming in May! Bring it on!

Airsoft @ Ground Zero

So after a long rest, I went to an airsoft game at Ground Zero on Saturday. This time, I decided to bring my AEGs instead of my gas rifles since the last time I went to a game, all my gas rifles failed on me. This time I brought some new kit, my M16A4 Commando, Ares’ Tavor CTAR-21, Tokyo-Marui’s Sig P226R and KSC’s H&K USP P10 Tactical. Only 1 lived to fight the whole 2 hour session. I’ll just do a point by point summary of my thoughts:

Stonewell Shinsei VF-0 Phoenix

There’s a long seamline all the way down from the intake to the exhaust. Sigh.

Some work needed to be done to close the rear landing gear doors. As mentioned before, it’s clear Hasegawa means for this kit to have the landing gear down. I added some plastic card to the inside of the gearbay so the doors won’t fall in.

Then I use some more plastic card to act as a bridge to join the two halves together. I also cut off the gear door actuators.

A bit of sanding to shape and elbow grease later, the doors are in. Some more sanding required but it’s not too bad.

This is why I don’t read comics anymore…

Stonewell Shinsei VF-0 Phoenix

Urgh… many many injection pin marks. Some in crazy places.

Like below. What were you thinking Hasegawa? :P

Some badly molded parts too. Nothing that putty can’t fixed though.

Pin marks inside the intake is a typically Hasegawa thing.

Simple to fix but annoying.

Some of the parts will actually be hidden. So hidden that I won’t need to paint it. So it’s here for posterity :D .

Kotobukiya HMM Pteras Bomber

Next up from the Kotobukiya HMM Zoids line is the Pteras Bomber ‘Jamie’ Custom. Jamie I assume is from the anime series.

Coming in May @ 3,600yen. Nice!
