Kotobukiya HMM Liger Zero Schneider

The first CAS (Changing Armor System) unit for the HMM Liger Zero has been announced by Kotobukiya and it’s the Liger Zero Schneider (which is German for cutter/slicer). Bless them, it will be available packed together with the Liger Zero and as a separate set so you only need one Liger Zero and you can swap around the CAS units whenever you like.

Nice in theory but it’ll be a PITA in practice since HMMs are not known as sturdy model kits. Plus they aren’t exactly toys that you’ll want to keep changing the parts and displaying.

Still… good for them for giving the modeler the option. Both will be available in June with the complete set going for 6,800 yen and 2,800 yen for just the CAS unit.

It’s Mrs. Rocket Punch’s birthday today!

He’ll fight for freedom wherever there’s trouble!

So G.I.Joe (specifically the ‘A Real American Hero‘ line) was a great part of my childhood. Who wouldn’t like articulated army men. And the vehicles! Man… good times!

The XP-14F Sky Striker with its pilot Ace was the first ever Joe vehicle and figure I ever owned so they hold a special place in my memories. Now Hasbro has announced they will re-issue it as part of 30th Anniversary G.I.Joe! HELL YEAH!

According to HissTank.com, the re-issue Sky Striker will be improved in some ways:

  • Single seater
  • More cockpit detail than the original, including a HUD, sidestick, ejection handles for the seat(inspired by the F-14A/B Tomcat ejection seats, the F-14D has NACES seats which look different), et al, hence lack of room for 2 figures
  • Molded in light gray with white trim on the wings
  • Black vertical stabilizers(the artwork on the vintage version had black stabilizers, and the early prototypes had them too, but the final production of the vintage version had white vertical stabilizers)
  • Engine nozzles have the overall shape of the F-14A/Original Skystriker’s P&W TF30 engines, but surface detail reminiscent of the F-14B/D’s F110 GE400 engines
  • Wings seem reinforced compared to the original(look at the underside near the body)

Pity about the single seater configuration but it’s still a must buy for me!

Woo F-ing Hoo Ux0r!

Grow a pair of balls you maggot! I hope your dick falls off since it’s clear you’ve got tons of time to do other stuff than to actually use it…

Another Advance of Zeta

Dengeki Magazine ran a popular series of photo-novels called Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans a couple of years back. This series proved very popular and Dengeki Magazine is launching a sequel of sorts.

Not much has been revealed so far but the main Mobile Suit has been introduced. It’s called the GM Kai (Wagtail). I’m not to keen on the design so far though. Still, any new GM is good news for me. :D

And woot! A tiger-striped RGC-83 GM Cannon II! Let’s hope it gets some focus to justify a HGUC release!
