Upcoming from Kotobukiya in their Zoids HMM line, one of the ‘ultimate’ baddies in the Zoids anime, the Berserk Fuhrer. Proportions have been changed quite substantially from the original toy. It’s coming in August for 8,800yen.

Annnnd Kotobukiya has announced the heavily armored Liger Zero variant. It’s coming in June 2012 for 7,300 yen. Nice. Want.
As expected, Kotobukiya is due to release the Liger Zero Jager in Feb 2012. Priced at 7,000 yen (holy shit), it’s the high speed variant of the Liger Zero (Jager means ‘Hunter’ in German).
I’m still waiting for the Liger Zero Panzer (the heavy armed variant). In the meantime, more pictures on Hobby Search here.
Kotobukiya is set to release Godos, the Helic Republic’s grunt unit in November @ 4,200 yen. Expensive for such a small-sized Zoid, but I like the updated looks without resorting to drastically changing from the original kit (unlike say, the Cannon Tortoise). It’s going to come with different weapon options too, with either twin cannons or a larger single cannon.
Anyways, yet another must buy for me. I’m a Zoid slut after all.
The first CAS (Changing Armor System) unit for the HMM Liger Zero has been announced by Kotobukiya and it’s the Liger Zero Schneider (which is German for cutter/slicer). Bless them, it will be available packed together with the Liger Zero and as a separate set so you only need one Liger Zero and you can swap around the CAS units whenever you like.
Nice in theory but it’ll be a PITA in practice since HMMs are not known as sturdy model kits. Plus they aren’t exactly toys that you’ll want to keep changing the parts and displaying.
Still… good for them for giving the modeler the option. Both will be available in June with the complete set going for 6,800 yen and 2,800 yen for just the CAS unit.
Next up from the Kotobukiya HMM Zoids line is the Pteras Bomber ‘Jamie’ Custom. Jamie I assume is from the anime series.
Coming in May @ 3,600yen. Nice!
I am so getting this. Certainly a ridiculous amount of weaponry but so cool!
I have no idea why it’s carrying a shopping basket with a rocket in it though. Anyway, it’s coming in March 2011, retails at 4,500 yen. More pics at the Hobby Search website.
