I was first exposed to Adobe Photoshop when I took a summer computer graphics class in college. Version 3 if my memory serves me right. It was such a cool program. The biggest issue though is that it can only do ONE undo… so I ended up having to keep saving different versions of one file, just in case I made a mistake heh.
This year, it’s 21 years old.
Out of the programs I learned in the course (Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark Express), Photoshop is the only one I’m actively using. In fact, next to Microsoft Office, it’s the second oldest application I’ve been continuously using.
Photoshop has become so ubiquitous, to ‘photoshop’ has become a verb. And that says alot.
After all….
Nothing broke apparently. Only the wires connected to the motor got disconnected. Probably due to the vibrations. The tech clamped it to make sure it stays in place and we’re back in business!
In other news, I’ll have to start trying to fix the KSC USP P10 Compact Tactical. Yay… meh.
So after a long rest, I went to an airsoft game at Ground Zero on Saturday. This time, I decided to bring my AEGs instead of my gas rifles since the last time I went to a game, all my gas rifles failed on me. This time I brought some new kit, my M16A4 Commando, Ares’ Tavor CTAR-21, Tokyo-Marui’s Sig P226R and KSC’s H&K USP P10 Tactical. Only 1 lived to fight the whole 2 hour session. I’ll just do a point by point summary of my thoughts:
OK… first Leslie Nielsen and now Irvin Kerschner. Now many don’t know him, but he was the director of arguably the best of the 6 Star Wars episodes, namely Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. He also happened to direct a guilty pleasure of mine, Robocop 2. Yes, the one with the psycho kid wielding a folding submachine gun.
As a kid, I preferred Return of the Jedi (yes even the Ewoks) but as I’ve grown older, I appreciate ESB more for being much more dramatic and not dispensing on characterization. So now it’s actually my favorite. ROTJ is now 2nd
.
Anyhow, thanx for being a part of my nerd childhood sir. Godspeed.
Leslie Nielsen has died and the world is less funny somehow. I of course, know him as Lt. Frank Drebin from the Naked Gun series. Years later, I realized he was also in Airplane! where as Dr. Rumack health pharmacy online he uttered his most famous line:
Rumack: Can you fly this plane, and land it?
Ted Striker: Surely you can’t be serious.
Rumack: I am serious… and don’t call me Shirley.
Ahhh… classic. Good laughs too. Thanx Mr. Nielsen! Godspeed.
