So in 2024 it looks like I only finished 3 builds. I actually finished 10 though! I just didn’t manage to take the proper or haven’t managed to finish editing the final pictures for builds 4 to 10 yet by the end of 2024. It’s a combination of laziness and prioritizing finishing kits that the website got neglected. They are below:
At this moment, I’m still trying to catch up to their build logs.
Because of this, this year’s look back at the site will take a different form: I’ll just talk about what I hope to accomplish for 2025.
On the health front, my eye problems should finally be over and it’s now a matter of rehabilitation which can only be fixed with time. But I can pretty much go full speed on my builds this year.
I decided that I should buy less this year so I hope to keep it to a maximum of 5 kits. Not sure if I’ll be able to do it but somehow it seems more possible this year.
Second, I want to be able to take more consistent pictures of my builds. Basically that means the white backgrounds should look consistent build to build. I still haven’t figured out what I’m doing wrong. I think I’m inching closer to a breakthrough though.
Thirdly, I hope to finally start on a ‘bucket list’ build of mine: a vignette of an air-to-air refueling operation between two aircraft. I attempted this once way back around 2001 but I never finished it. I also hope to complete at least two mecha-themed vignettes. I’ve gathered the major components for these towards the end of last year so it’s a matter of actually starting.
So how many builds do I hope to finish? I think 10 will be a reasonable number. But unlike previous years I don’t think I’ll be too upset if I don’t hit my target.
Anyway thanks for the continued support for my site for which has been around since 1999 (26 years and it even predates my marriage!). I slackened in 2024 with the postings but I hope to this will be corrected in 2025.
